Accelerated Construction Consulting

Whether your project is still in design or well underway, we provide the following services to ensure that your project is successful:

  • Utility plan and installation feasibility study
  • Offsite prefabrication
  • Stakeholder alignment plans
  • Schedule layout risk assessment
  • Resource reviews and assessments
  • Rapid demobilization planning
  • Installation verifications

Accelerated schedules are becoming far more popular. As we learn that we can build faster, a desire is created to do so. This is a goal that is achievable for the well planned project, and disastrous for the project that is not. Utilizing non conventional resources is the absolute key in managing a project at warp speed. NEC helps a team to understand this, and to find and utilize all of the resources necessary to make this possible.

Labor Management

  • Composite crew assessment
  • Site management assessment
  • Field installation audits and reports
  • Site communications
  • Best practice assessments & Lessons Learned
  • Earned value reviews
  • Project recovery planning
  • Project labor plan development

Labor management can be a difficult task and it is often left to the field. There are several ways that a management team can guide this process though. One way is creating Earned Value plans, another is utilizing certain softwares that create an informed team. Utilizing best practices and lessons learned, not just from within your company, but from the industry. Regular site audits, assessments and reporting are also great tools. Developing plans to recover from the unforeseen is one of the best things a company can do to ensure their success.

Earned Value Tracking

  • EV basic training
  • Labor unit evaluations
  • EV plan rollout
  • EV plan modifications
  • Active project integration plan
  • Standardized EV program

Earned value (EV) tracking is sometimes an underestimated tool that we all have access to. It is also a tool that can drastically change the profits and success of a company. EV tracking is simple, every material that we install has an installation time-designation assigned to it. We track how long that the installation actually took, and we divide the estimate by the actual and get our EV. This number explains our efficiency in that given installation. Example: If we estimated 3 hours to install a light fixture, and it took 5 hours to install, our efficiency is: (⅗=.6×100=60%). This seems overwhelming when someone considers where to start. NEC helps you set up all of your material multipliers and create a program that you entire team understands and is easy to follow.

Prefabrication

  • Warehouse layout assessment
  • Component procurement planning
  • Kitting plan development
  • Product development
  • Warehouse and site team training
  • Logistics plan development
  • Dispatch and return plans
  • Project planning

At New Earth Concepts, we believe that all projects, regardless of size or budget, can benefit greatly from prefabrication. If fact, we have proven this on multiple projects in a few different labor markets. Prefabrication is often confused with offsite assembling of certain material. This typically leads to a site installation team being burdened with constant rework of assemblies before, during, and after installation. The job itself also bears this burden by paying for the same scope several times. NEC can show you how to make prefab work for everyone and make your projects much more efficient by improving your budget and schedule. For further explanation of this, please schedule a quick consultation meeting.

QA/QC

  • Quality assurance programs
  • Quality control audits
  • QA/QC Reports

New Earth Concepts is familiar with the quality assurance programs and the quality control process.  We believe QA/QC is not just the last step in the construction process, but also the first. Putting a plan together that ensures quality throughout an entire build is key to producing a quality product in the end. Quality should never be a punch list item, because quality should be a foundation for the project. If there are quality issues at the end of a build, there were quality issues during the entire build. NEC will help you build a quality plan that facilitates quality building practices.

Compliance Audits

  • Specification compliance audits and reports
  • National and local code compliance audits
  • Best practice audits and reports

Code and specifications compliance can often be the most significant factor in the turnover of a successful project. Determining which areas of installation have the most risk, and most cost associated is typically the best place to start when you build your project QA/QC program. NEC helps with every step of this process.  From setting the goals, to creating the plan and implementing.
